Inchlet Terms of Use
Version 1.0 · Effective from Inchlet’s first public release.
1. Service and intended users
Inchlet is provided by Shanghai Woody Business Management Co., Ltd. (“WOODY”). Contact WOODY at inchlet@letswoody.com. These terms explain your and WOODY’s rights and responsibilities when using Inchlet. The app is intended for adult parents, guardians and lawfully authorized caregivers for personal and family growth records. Read these terms before use; if you do not accept them, you may stop using the app. Continued use does not replace separate confirmation where the law requires it.
2. Records and acceptable use
You can record, edit and search growth information, view growth history and references, and choose to import, export, save or share content. Enter only information you are entitled to handle and check dates, units and values. Obtain necessary authorization for information about others.
Do not use Inchlet to infringe privacy or other rights, distribute unlawful content, undermine software security or unlawfully obtain others’ data. This provision does not improperly restrict research, interoperability or other rights permitted by law.
3. Growth references and reminders
Inchlet is a growth-recording tool. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment plans, disease screening or emergency medical services. Growth references help you understand records; they do not determine an individual’s health. Available references depend on interface language, age, sex, measurement posture, dataset range and input quality. No result does not mean that a child is healthy, and a data warning is not a diagnosis.
Illustrations, animal comparisons and encouraging text are playful expressions, not medical conclusions. Do not base diagnosis, feeding or medication decisions solely on percentiles, curves, illustrations or reminders. Consult a qualified healthcare professional about health concerns. For urgent help, contact local emergency services immediately.
Reminders are scheduled by your device and may be affected by permissions, system settings and device state. Delivery at a particular time is not guaranteed. Reminders do not replace necessary medical appointments.
4. Local data, imports and backups
Growth information is primarily stored on your device. WOODY cannot retrieve unbacked-up records from a server. Export backups as needed and check that they are usable. Exported .inchletbackup files are not encrypted and must be safeguarded.
Restoring a backup may replace current profiles and records; read the preview and confirmation carefully. A local recovery copy is not a substitute for an independent backup. Older encrypted backups may depend on the original device key and may not be recoverable if it is lost. Deleting the app, device loss or damage, system failure and mistakes may make data unavailable. WOODY remains responsible for obligations and liability imposed on WOODY by law.
5. Your content and the software license
You retain the rights you lawfully hold in your content and personal information. Using Inchlet does not transfer those rights to WOODY or grant permission to use the content for advertising or AI model training. When you share content, check the audience and protect the child’s and others’ information.
Subject to these terms and applicable App Store license conditions, you may install and use Inchlet for personal and family purposes and save or share cards through the app’s features. The code, branding, interface and artwork are protected by intellectual property rights. Except as permitted by law or separately authorized, do not extract, resell or distribute them as a separate product.
6. Charges and external services
The current app does not offer in-app purchases or auto-renewing subscriptions. Any app download price is the price displayed by the App Store when you download it. Payments and refunds are governed by applicable platform rules and law. Any future paid offering will be explained before purchase; these terms do not authorize automatic charges.
Cloud storage, email, photo synchronization, sharing platforms and external reference websites you choose are operated by their providers. Review their terms and decide whether to use them. Providing a link or system interface does not replace your authorization or exclude WOODY’s legal responsibilities.
7. Privacy, responsibility and statutory rights
The Inchlet Privacy Policy explains personal information processing and is available in Settings → About Inchlet. Reading or accepting these terms is not consent to undisclosed sensitive-information processing, marketing or international transfers.
WOODY will provide and maintain the service with reasonable care, but does not promise defect-free software, compatibility with every device or permanent availability of every feature. Each party is responsible for its own conduct as required by law. These terms do not exclude or limit mandatory consumer or privacy rights, or liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or other matters that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes, ending use and disputes
You may stop using Inchlet at any time and manage or delete data as described in the Privacy Policy. WOODY may update the app to fix issues, support operating systems or improve features. WOODY will notify you of changes to these terms that materially affect your rights, including their effective date, before they take effect. To the extent permitted by law, continuing to use the relevant service after the updated terms take effect indicates acceptance of those terms. If you do not accept them, you may stop using the service. Matters requiring renewed, express or separate consent will be handled separately; continued use does not replace that consent. If WOODY discontinues the service, WOODY will provide legally required notice and reasonable arrangements for data export.
Contact inchlet@letswoody.com to discuss a problem or dispute. If it cannot be resolved, you may seek relief through a competent court or authority. These terms do not remove mandatory protections in your location or require you to waive lawful rights to bring a claim or complaint. If a term is invalid, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
